The Tata Nexon is finally launched in India, the first electric SUV which is priced between Rs15 lakh to Rs17 lakh(EX-Showroom), it will be the first car to use the Ziptron powertrain Technology.
Nexon comes with features like projector headlamps LED DRLS, front fog lamps, shark fin antenna and rear wiper washer. The cabin is fully automatic climate control, keyless entry with push button start, a set of 16-inch alloy wheels with EV highlight cover and also finally we will see and electric sunroof in the car.
Tata is also coming with a Zconnect app to remotely connect with the car. The owner can check the battery of the car from the smartphone, find the nearest charging station, send instant SOS messages in case if any emergency.

On the safety, Tata Nexon EV offers dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and cornering stability control along with seatbelt reminder for the driver and also the co-driver.
The Tata Nexon has a claimed range of 312km according to ARAI from its 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack, it uses an electric motor which produces 129ps of power and 245Nm of torque. Tata states that it can do a 0-60kmph in 4.6 seconds and will be able to reach 100 under 10 seconds. The Tata Nexon EV gets 2 driving modes, one is the normal drive mode and the other is the sports mode.
Tata claims that it can power the battery from 0 to 80% in 60 minutes using a fast charger at a price of Rs500. The Tata Nexon can also be charged using a normal 15A wall socket approximately taking 8 hours to charge the battery which will cost around Rs300. You will have access to 300 charging stations that have tied up with Tata in metro cities. Tata is also offering an 8 year/1.6 lakh km warranty for the battery pack which has an IP67 rating for dust and waterproofing.
