The Hyundai Aura Sedan launched in India in January 2020, this is the second generation of the Hyundai Xcent. The Xcent has borrowed the grill and design from the Grand i10 featuring new elements which are unique in the Hyundai Aura.

In terms of dimensions, the Hyundai Aura is 3995mm long, 1680mm wide and 1520mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2450mm and it has a boot space of 402 litres. The Hyundai Aura comes with twin boomerang shaped LED daytime running lamps on each end and with silver chrome borders. The profile of the Hyundai Aura gets a new coupe-like roofline, new ORVM’s with integrated turn indicators, and a set of diamond cut alloy wheels but only for the top most variant. The rear of the car section also sees a few significant changes with a boot lid now gets a sculpted look and a set of new tail lamps.

Inside the car, it is identical to the Grand i10 Nios, with a similar light theme based dashboard and a touchscreen infotainment system featuring apple car play and android auto. Other features include push button engine start stop function, automatic climatic control. The safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD along with seat reminders and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard. It also gets rear parking camera with sensors, keyless entry, high speed alert, speed sensing door lock and impact sensing door unlock function.

Under the hood the Hyundai Aura comes with two petrol and one diesel option which are BS-6 compliant. The 1.2l petrol variant produces a power of 82ps and 114Nm of torque whereas the 1.2l diesel produces 74ps of power with 190Nm of torque. Both come with a 5 speed manual transmission and an optional AMT transmission. Hyundai also offers a more powerful 1l GDI turbo-petrol engine that powers the Hyundai Venue which produces a power of 99ps and 172Nm of torque.

The Hyundai Aura starts at a price of Rs 5.81 lakh. The price od petrol variant starts from 5.81 and goes up to 8.55, CNG variant is priced at Rs.7.29 lakh and the diesel ranges between Rs 7.74 – 9.23 lakh.

Aura is directly competing with Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Altroz, Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Tata Tigor.
